We are incredibly grateful to Mr. Bill Josey, one of our district’s school bus drivers, and his wife for donating their time and sharing their amazing model train collection with our students. Mr. Josey set up two model train displays in the library, giving every student the opportunity to walk through, watch the trains in action, and even touch some of them.

Many of the trains on display were truly special—some are more than 80 years old! Our students were fascinated and absolutely loved this hands-on experience.

To make the day even more exciting, Mr. Josey also helped secure two battery-operated train sets, which were given away to two very lucky students. The winners were Avah Clark and Kamerin Jackson.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the setup and giveaway possible:
*Joe Williams
*David Casagrande
*Bonnie Blue House
*Don Whaley at Health Products and Yogurt Too

Thank you all for creating such a memorable and joyful experience for our students. This is what community support looks like!

They also wrote journal entries to name their robots and describe the important jobs they can perform. Our first graders did an outstanding job using creativity, imagination, and writing skills.
