Teacher Advisory Council
In our continued effort to support and elevate teacher voices, Decatur County Schools is proud to introduce a new Teacher Advisory Council that will meet quarterly to discuss issues that directly impact our classrooms.
At Decatur County Schools, we are committed to making decisions with a student-first, teacher-first mindset. This new council provides an additional platform for teachers to share their perspectives, offer feedback, and help shape initiatives that affect both teaching and learning.
Council Composition
The Teacher Advisory Council will include 20 teacher representatives from across the district, selected to ensure every school has a voice at the table.
Purpose
The council’s mission is to:
Provide ongoing input on issues impacting teachers and students
Strengthen collaboration between teachers and district leadership
Discuss local, state, and federal policies and initiatives that affect our schools
